You are right. But he was never lower on the card than right before the headline match, and that only twice. He got up to main-event status VERY quickly and never relinquished it. And there's no way around it, Brock DOMINATES the PPV records.

I reckon it comes down to three things with Brock.

    1) Health. Whether he gets his proper strength back, and whether he stays relatively injury-free. He's a superior athlete, but the clock is ticking and he's put a LOT of miles on his body. Still, if he can get back to something approximating the strength he's used to having, that's a huge plus for him.

    2) Willingness to work on flaws. I've heard that he won't let anyone punch him in the head in camp, because he doesn't like it. If that's true then obviously he has no chance at all. He wants to train some striking with some top guys, not some local yahoos from Shitstain, Alabama.

    3) Confidence. Sure he won't ever be an unstoppable force, but if he gets his confidence and fights aggressively, are there a lot of guys out there that a fully-fit Lesnar can just bulldoze and beat the **** out of? Absolutely. The guy is a monster.

I don't expect him to do anything significant if he does return. But that's mainly because I don't think he will train properly. He's gotta learn how to take a few punches and keep driving in for the takedown. But I don't think he'll do anything to address his apparent fear of getting hit. And I think that Junior would brutally beat him down.

There has to be some kind of sexual favour or financial transaction involved.

    Yeah, there was.

Lesnar has sold over a million PPVs four times in the UFC. By way of comparison to everyone else, three cards in company history sold a million PPVs without featuring Lesnar.

Brock vs Mir 2 is the #1 selling UFC PPV by more than half a million. It sold so many PPVs that it would have been the 4th highest selling boxing event, behind only Hoya-Mayweather, Lewis-Tyson and Tyson-Holyfield 2.

Tyson, Lewis, Holyfield, de la Hoya, Mayweather. These guys will outdraw Brock at his peak, but only if two of them are fighting each other.

To have a UFC Hall of FAME, and then not have their most FAMOUS champion and biggest-ever PPV star, would be ridiculous. And it's not like Brock was a joke as a fighter. He won the belt fair and square and defended it against good competition. :bart

Well that makes sense. Having Brock in the hall of fame is also good for the UFC because people will forget how good Brock was at fighting and as a 'hall of famer' he will increase the profile of the UFC because many people remember Brock as a WWF wrestler.
