chagaev is a sold fighter, an this is a great win for wlad, chagaev came at him, but wlad just out boxed him, as he does everybody he fights, towards the end of the fight he stop coming in as much, but in the early part he put pressure on, landed some nice punches, but of course not at the ratio wlad was landing,,,,,Pure boxing skills an power, it is hard for a #3 to look good
i have this as wlads best victory next to peters one,,,now i got watch the replay to make sure, but what i saw, an how smart wlad boxed, never letting chagaev inside, this has to be up there for his victory ranking,

 

Chagaev had only lost 3 out of 110 fights (amateur and pro)

He won a bronze medal at the Junior World Championships

3x Asian champ, 2x World Amateur champ

He beat legendary Cuban Felix Savon twice - arguably the greatest amateur boxer of all time

He'd never been knocked down or stopped - even murderous punching Savon couldn't floor him in three attempts

Savon didn't need three attempts to KO or stop...

The fights that Wlad lost are the fights were he made mistakes not because his opponents were better than him. He tried to decapitate Brewster and gassed. When he fought in the style he fights now we saw the result in the rematch. All these guzs he fights are good when they fight other opponents, its only when they get into the ring with Wlad when they suck.

 

He paws with his jab to set his big curved punches from range. Happens that his range was not to be found before taking that thumping left hand all night long... I find him very different from Iggy b.c. he is a much easier target to be found unless you are called super-slow motion Valuev... No body movement, no head movement, poor footwork, no jab authority, he would never beat Wlad like that. I was right on the money, 9th round TKO.

 

Why did Pavlik suck vs. Hopkins? Why did Tito suck vs. Wright? Why did Toney suck vs. Jones? Why did Mosley suck vs. Forrest?
