In my opinion is Accavallo.... You can say Perez has a better resume, and I agree with that....but on film Accavallo looks better and impressed me more.... Better footwork, better combinations, faster, better chin in my opinion....etc This content is protected This content is protected Would like to see your opinions on this subject my friends ! :bbb
I know about perez better than Acavallo...it's gonna be a thread that I'm looking forward to learning about Horacio. I'll be paying attention to this thread Vic.

Accavallo was a pretty subtle, unflashy technician.same rough category as the likes of Alberto Davila, Billy Graham etc Very steady and strong over 15 for a cutie. Not really a big Flyweight either, like Ricardo Lopez i expect he would have been physically dominant if he was a post 80s litte guy with the benefit of boiling down as much as he can to make the junior divisions.
Special thanks to you lora because of the footage....I was watching that yesterday and thinking about this thread.....
Perez, he really impresses me on film. Saying that Accavello is great to watch, I mean that fight with Torres was intense. But to me he seems very basic, but awkward with it, whereas Perez was a truly great fighter IMO
Perez was the ****, plain and simply, one of the top ranking flyweights of all time. Accavallo though, he fought in one tough era, and he was class, he looks a fine ring general on film to me. Using the full extent of his jab to keep the man in check and then coming with awkward flurries of punches behind it. I'm still going with Perez.
btw Vic, i'd actually give Accavallo the edge as far as stronger opponents goes. With the caveat i've not researched enough into all of perez more obscure challengers and opponents, so not an opinion set in stone by any means.
Yeah, Burruni, Ebihara and Torres are quality wins.......I´ve expressed my opinion a few times that I think Perez is a bit overrated.....but I would say his resume is better because of his dominance..... I don´t think Perez would beat Ebihara......
Interesting Greg.....Which aspect of his game do you see as great ? Just asking because I would love to understand more of his game....he is a fighter I will study more.... Perez had a very good left hook, and perhaps he is a better defensive fighter with his head always protected.......but I can see much more.....
Been a while since I seen him but it was basically his offence that I loved. He'd just explode into range with fast hard shots, but always off an angle and then move away at an angle. And he stayed really low (I know he could hardly be high) and was hard to hit and could really get his offence going. As I say its been literally years since I watched him. I'll watch some of him this weekend and go more in depth for you.
