Thomas, Page and Witherspoon all stopped a younger version of Tillis.

    I'd rank them :

    1. Louis
    2. Dempsey
    3. Foreman

Tyson, Liston, Lewis, Marciano were all great KO artists too.

George Foreman is the most powerful heavyweight of all time,,,I hate to say it, but Wilder may have the hardest 1 shot punch

Louis, for me. Tyson at number two, but Louis' highlight reel is one of the few which is more impressive than Tyson's, and Louis for the most part was doing it to better fighters and doing it for a much longer time period.

The whole blend of speed, power, accuracy and technical skill just made Louis the ultimate KO artist.

Foreman because of the shear power and just knowing how much damage each punch was doing and how fight ending each punch was

I still reckon Foreman and shavers hit harder because Foreman could knock people out cold without putting his weight behind the punch, he could throw an arm punch and KO people

And ? How old was Holyfield ? How old was Witherspoon ?
The bum Puritty destroyed a young, green Wladimir Klitschko for example. And klitschko is an ATG heavyweight now and
    his Puritty loss means nothing....

I don't bring lot of examples because i don't wanna waste my time to an idiota

Ok by your opinion these were better punchers than Tyson. No problem just you proved your idiotism.

Do you see Tommy Gibbons lasting more than 60 seconds with Mike or Lewis or George? Or is Billy Conn going to come within a hair of beating any of those three?

This game is easy. Wanna play some more?

Mike is the answer. Short window... but what a window it was.

I've said this before. When I look at all the attributes necessary to be a ko artist, meaning timing, speed, diversity of punches ( which so many posters miss) and power , look no farther than J.Louis.
Louis had the ability to ko opponents with every punch possible in boxing with exception of the left jab.
Left or right hook? Check. Left or right uppercut? Check. Straight right hand? Check, ability to half hook, half uppercut? Accuracy ,speed, power, and timing? Check .
No heavyweight in history had the total offensive ability of prime J.Louis. But prime M.Tyson was very close to him. Tyson had much better foot speed, and could close the distance or attack from angles better than Louis. But Tyson didn't have the diversity or creativity offensively J.Louis had.

Louis really was a force of nature, certainly the most incredible combination knockout puncher in the division (and he was more than capable of one punches as well).

I just loved how bludgeoning George could be. He never had great speed (though it was certainly better than most rate him during his prime). I loved the way he positioned his opponents to get hit as well, he was so great a spinning and pushing them, manipulating them to get his best shots in. And his jab was nearly as great as the mighty Liston's...well, probably heavier than Sonny's, not quite as accurate or as stepped-into.
