Holyfield did it. Lots of fighters have been undisputed in two divisions. Usyk would be the first in the 4 belt era though.
1. Usyk- Clearly 2. Canelo - Canelos wins against Smith and and BJS are very underrated. 3. Taylor - Prograis and Ramirez wins impressive. 4. Crawford - I am not Bud hater ( the opposite and I rate his as the best WW) but at the time he unified the divison it was weak and didn't have Taylor, Prograis and Ramirez.
Not sure why people are saying Usyk because it's clearly Taylor Prograis > Breidis Ramirez > Gassiev Baranchyk > Glowacki
Based on what? Briedis >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Porgrais Gassiev >> Ramirez Glowacki >> Baranchyk Prograis = Gassiev Prograis > Glowacki
Usyk - Glowacki, Mchunu, Hunter, Huck, Briedis, Gassiev, Bellew Taylor - Baranchyk, Prograis, Khongsong, Ramirez Canelo - Smith, Yildirim, BJS, Plant Crawford - Dulorme, Jean, Lundy, Postol, Molina, Diaz, Indongo If anything this shows how weak Bud Crawfords JWW was. If Charlo become undisputed his run would be better than Bud’s and on par with Canelo..
I agree that its usyk then taylor. But i dont think its as clear cut as it seems. I think the prograis and ramirez wins are better in hindsight. Those were full on 50/50 fights, the briedis fight was nice but it didnt feel like a 50/50 match and the gassiev fight was a masterclass. I dont think Usyk has ever fought anyone in his level to say its 50/50, but i do understand the argument that usyk may be just that much better than taylor as well. Just to conclude, my argument for taylor is his road to undisputed was harder because he had to face more adversity against top level guys, but without prejudice to the fact that Usyk may just be that much better.
If Breidis was better than Prograis he wouldn't have needed a robbery to beat Noel Gevor. A prime Jose Ramirez is also vastly superior to a one armed Gassiev in urgent need of shoulder surgery that would bench him for two and a half years. And Glowacki ain't ****. Look how easily a crude rookie like Okoile dispatched him
Usyk. His run through the CW division was remarkable, beating opponents in their own backyards. Then in three fights at HW he captures 3 belts. All in 19 fights.
