Briedis beat Glowacki in two rounds, beat the #2 ranked CW Dorticos, beat Marco Huck, beat Perez, KOd a still fighting Charr in five. He also gave Usyk (the greatest cruiser ever and unified HW champion) his hardest fight so far. If you think Glowacki “ain’t ****” look up his resume. Way underrated due to recent losses. Gassiev is a beast compared to Ramirez, there’s such a level of skill gap between them that calling Ramirez better makes me believe you haven’t watched Gassiev outside of the Usyk fight.
Breidis beat Glowacki in two rounds by illegal methods a proper ref would have DQ'd him. Huck, Perez and Charr all shot to pieces. Dorticos is likely at least 40. Also needed a robbery to beat Gevor. Prograis, Ramirez, Baranchyk all in their primes, all undefeated world champions. Only names on Glowackis resume is shot fighters like Huck and Cunningham, or blown up light heavyweights like Vaslov. The version of Gassiev that fought Usyk was far from a beast, which tells me you haven't watched anything from him outside the Usyk fight to see that he was clearly fighting one armed. He threw 74 total jabs all night v Usyk, down from 330 in his previous fight, and 338 the fight before that. He then had immediate sugery on his left shoulder which sidelined him for years. He was basically Gary Russell after the 4th round the other week. Dozens of Cruiserweights would have beat him that night. One or two at absolute best 140lbers would have beaten Ramirez
Dorticos was 33 when Usyk beat him and is currently 35. Even if his age is understated by a couple years, he was like 35/36 at the oldest. He did elbow Glowacki and the ref let the round run on longer than he should have, but Briedis was still absolutely demolishing Glowacki, no fouls needed. Charr was past his best, but Perez was simply fighting very good fighters who were above his level. When he fought at his level (Ie, Takam) he could still perform. When he fought the usual suspects around that time, he did just as well as he did before. Huck wasn't shot, he had just been fighting mediocre fighters (except Lebedev and Afolabi) and only started losing when he began fighting at a higher level. Against Povetkin ( who was above Briedis, Glowacki, Progais etc level in terms of raw ability/skill) he was able to make a very close fight. (And some people even thought he deserved a win, although I completely disagree) I do agree that Gassiev was injured, I thought your claim was that Progais was better than an uninjured Gassiev.
