I couldn't even venture a guess, 17 Weight Divisions and at least 5 Sanctioning Bodies, who the hell knows of all the 'supposed' champions that have came and went, loads of journeymen and/or club fighter types who had 5 minutes at some pointless title or not... Who knows.

'Bugner' hardly comes anywhere near 'worst' anything, Joe Bugner was a very good & legitimate Contender... if you can say that about Bugner, then you could easily say Khan was a Glass Chin champ waiting to break, which, though a lovely Boxer, we all knew was going to happen.

Gavin Rees anyone, nothing more than a tough little club fighter in better Era's.

Again, you'd have to be a real bookworm or statistician to know who they all are/were... and I am nowhere near such invested.

I personally would legitimately name Fury as one of them, a complete Sideshow & Protected career, sadly like so many others the last 30, 40 years.

Valerio Nati and Boone Pultz are 2 legendary WBO champions from the early days.

Was going to add Genaro Leon (WBO welter champ) but he actually gave Buddy McGirt a good fight in a later WBC tilt. His 1 rd ko of Danny Garcia for the title is pretty spectacular if you can track it down.

    Carlos Maussa

How he even won a fight, let alone a title, I have no idea.

More than half his wins (12 of his 20 wins) came against guys (all from Colombia) with zero wins going into the fight.

I guess we can now officially say that God is dead, and he's been such for eight years. R.I.P.

The fight was never really discussed. Mostly because of Chocolatito's fear of the almighty Yemeni legend. :deal:

Wild Bill Hanrahan beat Hart for one of the first LHW titles in 1901 was sub .500. Never won again after winning the belt and finished his career 2-8-3. He actually is one of the only champs to retire with a 100% KO rate but thats cause he only won 9 fights. Its not a modern alphabet belt but how many sub .500 modern champs are there?

Lee Savold who held the BBBC HW belt(ancestor of WBC) was being made fun of in the New York Times for losing all his MSG fights in the early 40s. He'd later win 2 fights at MSG but he might not be a top 10 HW for his era.
