Would have said Hatton but he was beat convincingly twice (Once was embarasing). Benn did well but in reality Naseem was beaten once over there and his opponents were better than Benns. Calzaghe is last !

Hatton took on the best opponents, but Benn achieved the most in my opinion, especially after his losses to Eubank and Watson

Probably Hamed I'd say. He beat the best number of world class opposition.

Barkley was ****ed so that win doesn't rate amazingly highly except for the manner of victory.

Calzaghe beat the best opponent in Hopkins...but its just one win. Hamed gets the nod for consistency in America despite his loss.

    Probably Hamed.

That list just goes to show though how far Lennox Lewis' career is above these guys, I mean compare those lists to the type of guys he beat over in America.

    Mike Weaver TKO6
    Tyrell Biggs TKO3
    Tony Tucker UD12
    Tommy Morrison TKO6
    Ray Mercer MD10
    Oliver McCall TKO5
    Henry Akineande DQ5
    Andrew Golota KO1
    Shannon Briggs TKO5
    Zeljko Mavrovic UD12
    Evander Holyfield UD12
    Michael Grant KO2
    David Tua UD12
    Hasim Rahman KO4
    Mike Tyson TKO8
    Vitali Klitschko TKO6

Of those options, there's not a ton to seperate them. Naz maybe nicks it with the Kelly victory - a textbook example of what a Brit needs to do to impress America.

But yeah, what Lennox did Stateside blows them all out the water.

Yeah obviously Lewis is the most impressive

    No point including him

The poll would have been a landslide

    Hamed.

Benn is a good second I think.

    Hatton has had mixed success.

Joe didn't find his passport until his mid-30's.

Yeah I know I was just saying in comparison it shows have far ahead Lennox's resume is.

Fully agreed. Lennox seems to get more respect for every year he's retired. The mans record speaks for itself.

People tend to overrate Lewis's resume a great deal.

Yes, its better than all of these guys but at the same time guys like Rahman, Tua, Golota, McCall, Briggs etc that make up the bulk of his resume outside the big names that were past-prime are mostly B level fighters. No different to the Chagaev's of today really.

Yeah sure. Name one guy who Lennox ducked? Or one guy you would have liked him to beat who he didn't?

Comparing Chagaev etc to Lewis is criminal. Oh wait he didn't beat up old man George and he ignored the might 50 year old Larry Homes.

What the **** are you talking about?

I'm comparing Chagaev to the Briggs, Rahman's, Golota's of this world. There is really very little difference yet people will rag on this era as if the bunch that Lewis reigned over for the majority of the time were great. They weren't.
