Neither man is going to really try and it would just end up a glorified sparring match.

Regardless, I do think the fact that Wlad has never fought the other top fighter in his division should count against him in terms of legacy.
Obviously it's a fight that will never happen and one that people don't even want to see, but still, that fact stands.

Klitschkos gave their word that they would never fight each other and I believe them. I would lose all respect it they did fight each other, but that will never happen and I am glad................

 

Yes, it's the one fight in the division that really means anything. They are both undoubtedly the 2 top fighters in the division and stand head and shoulders, literally as well as figuratively above everyone else in the division.

But even if it somehow came to happen I wouldn't expect a great fight. I couldn't imagine punching my brother even if I got paid millions for it. I would subconsciously pull my punches and if I did land a good shot I would probably pause to see if I hurt him. So it would be a tentative affair.

Vitali would win though, I can't see how Wlad out boxes a tall fighter who is almost as good as him from range, can take any punch he dishes out and will outwork him in every round and can hurt him.

Yes. I'm tired of the Klitschkos being regarded as a tag team - there are no tag teams in boxing.

They're the two best HWs in the division - that is more than established by now. But we need an undisputed champ, we need to know who the best man really is. I'm pretty sure no one here is a 100% convinced which one is the better of the brothers. So they should fight each other and find out about it - or Vitali should retire and leave all the spotlight to his younger brother.

And it would be a mega fight, and also an interesting one from a stylistical point of view. These two brothers are both big, tall men, but Wlad is far better skill-wise and hits harder, while Vitali has an iron chin and is generally tougher.

It would be a dull fight, wich Wlad probably wins on his jab and both guys punching at half power.
Who actually believes this would be a fair reflection of who's the better of the two should really check his marbles.
