Looks like most of boxing fans do not remember me anymore; My record is 109-29-12; I beaten 5 World Champions and 3 Hall of Famers, all of them remarkable fighters, being at least 3 of them, pure ATG's; Amongst the other fighters that I beaten, there's Willie Brennan, Allentown Joe Gans and Mel Coogan, just to name a few; I had 6 fights against one single ATG! In most of the fights that I had against Champions I conceded a great deal of poundage...imagine that today; After I retired from the rings, I found a job as a maintenance employee with the Buffalo Parks Department...also, imagine that today; Pete Latzo never had problems to fight me, unless when I asked for the fight to be for the World Title; Thus, I was never a World Champion; Once, I ignored my corner's advice and I got knocked out by a gentlemen and All Time Great boxer, that used to give money away while driving through the streets where he grow up. It was the only fight that I lost by KO; I was born in the same year that Katsura Taro became the Prime Minister of Japan for the first time; Who am I?
I'm pretty sure, that our man can only be Frankie Schoell - though I believe the stats aren't completely correct. In addition to being ko'd by ATG jimmy Slattery (the guy who gave away money in the streets), he also suffered an early ko defeat against one Ralph Brady. Also, according to BoxRec, Schoell finished his career with a 110-29-19-4NC record.
Absolutely correct! Based on my research and for what I was able to read of other researches outside of Boxrec, the record of Frankie is as the one I wrote in this thread. That means the supposed KO agains't Brady is still yet to be confirmed; What is absolutely confirmed is the KO he suffered at the hands of the great Jimmy Slattery. On a side note, the 6 fights series Frankie had was against Maxie Rosenbloom. Thanks for participating;
