I never won a World Title and I'm sure not many people remember me anymore. Despite that, I think I'm one of those great fighters without "stripes" that should be inducted in the Hall of Fame; During the course of my career, I beat 6 Champions of the World, scoring a combined total of 7 wins, 3 losses and 4 draws against them; I also beat 4 Hall of Famers, in a combined record of 4-3-2 against these Legends; I fought in many different weight classes, always keeping the skills and speed that allowed me to face and beat much heavier fighters later on, including Heavyweights. You can surely say I was a very crafty warrior with an outstanding left jab. I got that weapon refined in almost 100 fights as an amateur, and in much more battles during my professional career; Since I didn't got the chance to fight for the World Title, I signed this contract with an english businessman that got me a few fights in England, Germany and Ireland. While there, I became a close friend of Jackie Jurich that was also represented by the same manager. I made quite an impact. Everyone loved me, everyone came to watch my fights and to show their support. While living and fighting in the Old World, I was treated like a king. I wanted to stay there for longer, but those were tough times and one could already smell the coming of the War. So, I decided to comeback for my wife and my son convinced that this time - and as long as I keep the good shape that I showed in Europe - I would finally get a chance for the Title; And so I fought and won till the doors of Glory were already on sight. I really did well during that time but they gave the shot for the title to Al McCoy that was coming from 3 losses in his last 6 fights; I'm not saying Al was not a great fighter, which he clearly was, nor I am saying that I would win that title fight either. All I'm saying is that I deserved the chance and they didn't gave it to me. Maybe that's why my name is not much spoken these days..who knows; I had some real good years in the bloody square. In the year of 1936 I faced 2 Legends of the Fistiana for 3 times and I got a win, a draw and a loss against them. Before that, in 1932, I faced another 2 Legends and I beat them both in great style; Amongst the tough cookies that I faced and beat, there's Jimmy Mendes, Natie Brown, Erv Sarlin, Lee Ramage and Billy Jones; I had quite a tough career, but I learned two things that I tell to every kid when I have the chance: First: "...Keep hitting ‘em with the left, and every once in a while toss in a right so they don’t get bored"; And Second: “Even if the other guy pulls stuff on you never sink to his level.”; I was born a week after a crowd of 1 million people turned out in Roma to watch the unveiling of II Vittoriano, a 250 foot-high monument in honor of king Victor Emmanuel II, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the unification of Itália; Who am I?
This is misleading. Shucco was a heavyweight, but at 5-foot-11 and 180-something I’d hardly call him an Extra Large. I vote for Mike “The Giant” White … or at least Jumbo Cummings … who was pretty big and had an XL name.
This is developing into a one horse race. Can we at least have @KernowWarrior swabbed? Or, even better, retire him to stud? I’m sure he’d find the latter option more than appealing.
Maybe “here” is where we can also come for free relationship counselling from The Good Doctor. Not that I need any counselling of course, but seriously gotta go now, she’s peering over my shoulder right now to see what I’m typing. She’s just screamed “Who in hell is Saintpat!”
Well Puggy i am not sure the world is ready for more little KernowWarriors, though of course no little blue pills would be required to perform my stud duties No swabbing required to test for PEDs i admit that i have consumed Mexican uncastrated wild boar meat, its a fair cop Guv, i'm guilty as charged.
Full disclosure is admirable and should be rewarded. No further action required. At any rate, I doubt the consumption of uncastrated wild boar meat would make these questions any easier for me, personally, to answer. Enjoy your spirited practicing for the eventual production of little Kernow Warriors - if that’s in your life plan.
