In my career I beaten 3 Champions of the World and 3 Half of Famers; In 1930 alone I had 5 fights against 2 HOF's; Before that, in 1922, I had 3 fights against 2 HOF's and I went 2-0-1, beating both; I never got the chance to fight for a World Title but I had dozens and dozens of fights against the very best of my time; Amongst the tough fighters that I beaten, there's Midget Smith, Joe Glick, Spug Myers and Edouard Mascart; Some may say I was just a journeymen and not a top contender....may God forgive them cause they don't know what they are talking about; I was born in the same month and year of Hannah Arendt and Primo Carnera; Who am I?
At first I thought it may be the unfortunately named Henri Dewancker, but on closer consideration I think it's more likely to be Eddie Anderson.
Imagine someone coming up to you and randomly blurting out that fighters surname at you on its own? You might interpret it as semi broken English and perhaps reply with - “Well, that’s a rather personal question - the type of question ONLY a Wancker would ask!”
