In 1911, he had a meeting with the Governor of my State, where he convinced him to authorize the sponsorship of professional boxing fights by the recent created Athletic Club of my town; He managed my career for way more than 100 fights but even him couldn't grant me the opportunity to fight for the non-colored World Title; I only scored 5 knockouts in 1st rounds in my time, but my number of overall KO's is actually dozens of times higher than that; Once, I had this fight in Milwaukee against an All Time Great after the city spent 3 weeks and 3 days in full quarantine on the account of the Flu Pandemic. Uncertain that the fight would actually come to fruition, me and my opponent agreed to fight first in Philadelphia in a 6 Rounds fight. I knocked him down early in the 1st round and I got the decision in the end; This happened on a Thursday, and in the next day, Friday, we found ourselves already in Milwaukee to fight each other once again. This time, he beaten me on points. Regardless of our insane effort to pull this fight in a devastated town after we fought in Philly just the night before, everyone criticized our performance, particularly the Press. They didn't want us to fight there anymore and we were sent to this commission hearing the next day just to see them robbing us of 100$ each, on the account of the United War Fund. We basically fought for free, but Milwaukee had to wait a dozen years to see 2 colored fighters fighting there again; Amongst the tough fighters that I fought and beat, there's Larry Temple, Mike Donovan, Black Bill, Joe Smith and Jim Barry; Although I wasn't born there, my hometown is known for being the centre of the Four State Area; Who am I?
