    I'm a Legend of the Fistiana;
    I never won a World Title but I managed to beat 7 Champions of the World a combined total of 17 times;
    I also scored wins over 3 Hall of Famers;
    I had almost 20 fights against those Legends;
    I was considered one of the greatest infighters and defensive boxers of the World in my time and I'm still remembered as one of the All Time greats in those aspects of the Sweet Science;
    I travelled quite a lot during my career, fighting from Canada to Australia passing through different European countries;
    Some of the greatest fighters in Boxing History - and I mean true ATG's - said that I was the toughest fighter they ever faced in their careers;
    Amongst the tough cookies that I fought and beat, there's Clay Turner, Billy Kramer, Chuck Wiggins, Kid Henry and Mike Glover;
    I was one of the few fighters that didn't draw the color line and that was the case cause I wanted to fight anyone, anytime, anywhere!
    After my retirement I worked in the Army and also in many public schools as a physical education instructor;
    I was born in the same Month and Year as the legendary Fado singer Alfredo Marceneiro;

    Who am I?

    I don’t know this one. Where are two of the big hitters Greg and Kernow W to put me out of my misery??

    I have nothing but a wild guess, but since you mentioned Australia I’ll throw the Alabama Kid into the hat as my contribution. He wasn’t a champ and he fought a lot of good people and definitely spent a good bit of his career Down Under.

    I don’t know if his timeline matches up with the fighters you mentioned and don’t want to look it up because I’d feel like I was cheating if I just perused Boxrec or whatever to come up with a name.

    Sorry mate, I'm stumped on this one. I thought it may be Buck Crouse or Jeff Smith, but I've checked and neither were born in the same month as Marceneiro.

    Guys, I screwed up this one.
    The fighter in question died in the same month that Alfredo Marceneiro was born but he was born in April. My bad.

    Oh God, I really messed this one up.
    I'm so sorry guys.

    My bad!

    Mistakes happen don’t worry. If that’s the case I’d bet Greg’s choice of Jeff Smith may be correct?

    Keep em coming Gui, errors are not disasters, they are mere hurdles that make us go back and check on our facts, if errors are disasters then we who have answered incorrectly in you fine "Who am I" thread have been disasters too.

    Without this question i would have not known who Alfredo Marceneiro was.
    Just think i could be on a big money quiz show, and be told the final question is about a famous Fado singer called Afredo, Gui Dosnera would have been the reason i would win.
