degale just seems an accident waiting to happen and i cant understand how people think he will win a world title
groves. he's far more suited to the pro game and if he gets his sparring in with kessler and abraham it will only do him good. i mite be only 1 of a few but i like degale and think he will come good in the end but will just take abit more time (maybe alot)
Groves will be world champ and seems like a nice chap aswell, "Chunky" is just a ***** who rates himself far too much, he'll get found out soon enough
Groves beats hi easy. Warren will never risk it though. This will just be Khan v Murray all over again.
How are we meant to judge these guys when they've not faced live opponents yet? Need to hold fire on any judgements Miles too early for them to fight anyway
DeGale is a jerk, but he's looked very good in his last two fights. I think he'll go to world level alright.
Exactly, you can't really say untill they face someone who's gonna test them. From what I've seen of De Gale though, he tries too hard to look good and he ends up getting hit with shots that shouldn't hit him. He's still throwing slapping punches which is also a slight concern, but then he is a big fan of Calzaghe. He also seems to love the limelight and everything that goes with fame. I'd be the same in his position, but I wonder if he's gonna let all of this distract him and take away his hunger. Chris Eubank said that De gale would fail because he's got too much too soon and the hunger won't be there. He could be right. As for the fight, it's never too early for them to fight. This is what's killing boxing. We wanna see our best prospects fight each other, not Latvian taxi drivers who just come over for a payday. Roy Jones and B-hop fought in 93. If they had fought in 2000, it would still have been a huge fight. People don't care if the fight had already happened. People wanna see how they fare against each other at different stages of their career. Some say the timing is wrong and they both should be built up first. It can still be a big fight in the future but why not make it happen now? I don't wanna wait 5 years. Why is being undefeated the only thing that matters these days? Maybe it makes business sense to wait. Bob arum said when talking about a fight between Juanma and Gamboa "I know what the fans want, they can go **** themselves". He's doing what is good for him financially but the fans are losing out. They're both British prospects, they're the same weight, they dislike each other, and they're both young enough to bounce back from a loss. It makes PERFECT sense for them to fight NOW. If it make sense again in 5 years, then great, that's a bonus, but if it doesn't, at least we got to see them fight once. Speaking as a fan, not a promoter of course. Realistically, this fight will never happen.
