Harding is in my top five, Rose, Famachon, Harding, Fenech, Darcy. With Mattioli and Tszyu also able to switch in there but I've left them out as they weren't raised here and spent part of there careers in their homeland. If one was to discount that, then Famachon, Harding, Rose, Mattioli and Tszyu all won world titles by going over to the champions backyard and taking it from them. It's a pity Charcky Ramon's story was cut short and never got to play out to the end.
Fair call, old man, however that was Charkey's only loss. Etuati also beat Kahu Mahanga a couple of times yet Mahanga stopped Mundine snr. so I don't think that is a reliable assessment. i note, interestingly, that Etuati beat Ramon relatively early in their careers, whilst Mundine was less than midway through his career when he stopped Etuati for Etuati's last fight. Different times then, they were the halcyon days of Australian boxing, I wish I was around to experience them.
Ah, sorry if I've not been clear enough, but I didn't rank Charky, I merely wondered how it might have been had his career run it's full course, and not stopped prematurely due to injury, for the record I rank Mundine Snr. very highly, as with a lot the fighters mentioned in the other lists. I don't rank Charky higher than Tony, sorry if it came across that way.
Hey mahunga beat T mundine when he was a Kid 18 or 19 no way muhunga beats prime mundine snr. Tony would have wiped the floor with ramon. Charky asked my uncle at the gym 1 day weather he thought he had a chance of beating tony & the answer was NO No but i think u already new that brother. Cheers
