i kinda like haye, but he needs to prove a lot more to be considered elite. needs more good wins. mormeck wasn't a great champ. he was ok. remember he was already knocked out cold by bell. then in the rematch, mormeck was out on his feet several times having to run the last 3 rounds just to survive. the dude has major stamina issues. a win over macca would be a solid win.

That's a good one. I'd replace Margo to Guzman though - and I'd CONSIDER putting on Abraham, Forrest, maybe Donaire and Linares but who to replace? Maybe Woods, Witter. So your top25 rocks. :thumbsup

    top 25 IN order

    1. Mayweather - Could lose the spot from fighting DLH again not a legit contender
    2. Calzaghe - Could go #1 if he knocks out Hopkins
    3. Pac - Im tipping Marquez to beat him
    4. Marquez - See above
    5. Hopkins - Again, a shock win over Calzaghe and id put him first
    6. Cotto - Steamrollered through the ranks including a VERY CLOSE win over Mosley. Expect him to go higher as years go by.
    7. Guzman - I think hes better than Pac and Marquez. Could beat them both to go #1
    8. Vasquez - Trilogy decider
    9. Diaz - Unififed champion.
    10. Calderon - THE MAN in 2 divisions. Who else can claim that ?
    11. R.Marquez - see Vasquez
    12. Mosley - I gave him the edge against Cotto, but could have gone either way
    13. Kessler - Impressive in losing to argueably the best fighter of the generation
    14. Pavlik - Rematch with Taylor
    15. Mijares - Needs to do more to keep ranking
    16. Wright
    17. Solis
    18. Spinks
    19. Forrest
    20. Taylor
    21. Williams
    22. Hatton - Dont actually think he's top25 material, but he's only lost once, and thats to the best.
    23. Wlad Klit
    24. David Haye
    25. John

No Abraham - Biggest joke of a champion ever, will never unify the titles or fight outside germany.

No Dawson - Biggest hypjob ever. He might have talent but has never faced anymore than B-level fighters (once) and has a shaky chin at best.

No Gamboa - Aint done enough yet

No De la Hoya - Gonna lose to Mayweather again but theres an arguement to have him in above someone like Hatton

No Linares - Hasnt done enough yet

No Margarito or Cintron - Just outside.

Best boxers RIGHT NOW, not top ranked (i.e. not necessarily based on who's beaten who, and I'm looking at the moment, not in the past or the future),

    1. Floyd Mayweather
    2. Ivan Calderon
    3. Rafeal Marquez
    4. Joe Calzaghe
    5. Israel Vasquez
    6. Juan Diaz
    7. Manny Pacquiao
    8. Chris John
    9. Juan Manuel Marquez
    10. Miguel Cotto
    11. Paul Williams
    12. Wladimir Klitschko
    13. Kelly Pavlik
    14. Christian Mijares
    15. Hozumi Hasegawa
    16. Junior Witter
    17. Joan Guzman
    18. Ricky Hatton
    19. Shane Mosley
    20. Chad Dawson
    21. David Haye
    22. Alexander Munoz
    23. Fernando Montiel
    24. Arthur Abraham
    25. Steven Luevano

Just missing: Jermain Taylor, Nonito Donaire, Celestino Caballero, Cory Spinks, Lucian Bute

Might have forgotten a few as well. Gamboa doesn't qualify yet, IMO, because one thing you NEED to do to be a great boxer is go 12 rounds, and he hasn't come close to proving that yet.

On Calderon so high - the only reason he's not a top 3 guy is because he doesn't have the quality of opposition to face. On pure boxing skill, he's way up there. Same goes for Hasegawa and Munoz.

On Pac so low - he seems to be fading in my eyes, and he's well past his best weight. He's much more vulnerable now than he was a few years ago. Yes, he's a better pure boxer now, but it's not his pure boxing that gets him ranked highly, and he's still a worse pure boxer than most of the guys under him.
