Okay so assuming that the Pacquaio fight is not made Floyd is running out of options for May 5th.

1.) Berto-Ortitz is rumored to be made for Feb.-3 months is a small window to turn around and fight Floyd.

2.) Sergio Martinez is probably fighting in March-2 months is an even smaller window.

3.) It looks like Maidana-Alexander will be made in Jan-Feb. If they were to fight early to mid January Mayweather could get the winner on May 5th possibly?

    So who does that leave

    The Front Runners

1.) Canelo Alvarez-been calling Mayweather out. Would be a big money fight.

2.) Robert Guerrero-been calling Mayweather out. Not as big as Canelo but has to be an option.

3.) Erik Morales-the rumours were out there and as much as I as a Mayweather fan doesn't want it to be true the more other guys announce fights the more likely I think Morales is in the running.

4.) Amir Khan-the fight has been rumoured for awhile if he doesn't get upset by Peterson he has to be a frontrunner

5.) Lamont Peterson-a upset over Khan puts him on the list.

    A possible

Mike Jones-if he wins his upcoming fight I know it is a long shot but he would be available.

    The Longshot

Timothy Bradley-if Pacquioa goes for Marquez 4 then Bradley is out of that big money fight so he would be a longshot on the list with Arum handling things but he would be available.

I'm getting to the point where I refuse to accept anything BUT Pacquaio.

I'll always watch him fight, I think we've been treated to something special with Mayweather over the last 15 years, but the list of opponents has run too thin.

Pacquaio is a must, if not then Khan or Sergio is acceptable, anything else and it will be a huge dissapointment.

    The only replacement is Khan.

And even that dont make sense seeing as its Khan first fight at 147 and he's going to get humiliated.

If you go by "he's going to get humiliated." Then Pac don't make senes.

Is there anyone I left of the list who could be in the running I can't think of anyone else?
