Anyone got a couple names to look out for??? Marquez brothers have about two years left in the tank IMO. Morales is about to wrap up his career soon. So we need a couple more guys to step up. Who are the ELITE prospects from Mexico? Obviouslly Canelo but who else?
In terms of an established boxer who 'might' step into the elite i would keep an eye on Abner Mares. I feel that Humberto Soto is very very underrated... I would back him to beat anyone under 135 lbs. If you look in the amateurs for possibly the next great mexican then there's a Pan american games this year.. so keep an eye on the lower weights as there might be some flashy mexican kid who takes a gold or silver who could go onto greatness.
