    Not a popular choice perhaps, but what about Bruce Seldon. Losses to McCall and Bowe back 2 back but regrouped to win a version of the "world" title. (Caretaker champ that he was..)

    Marco Antonio Barrera.. you can probably find a **** load of examples of fghters of the past. A loss didn't mean all that much back in those days.

    johnny nelson lost his first three fights he also lost three in a row in 92 and two in a row in 95

    Danny "Little Red" Lopez lost 3 out of 4 including a brutal ass whoopin' from Bobby Chacon. Shortly afterward he went on a wild ass tear and beat Olivares, O'Grady, Hafey, and Koty to become the dominant man at 126 in 1976. He maintained that position until Salvador Sanchez came along.

    fred pendleton lost 17 times when he finally won the IBF light weight title...had several streaks of losing 2 in a row, 3 straight and 4 out of 5

    Carlos Monzon lost 3 in his first 20 fights or something and had like 9 draws throughout his career and is quite rightly so regarded as on of the best middleweights of all time.
