Just a couple more contenders from the past who should be mentioned...

Shig Kaneko - 51-10-1 (31) - was OPBF featherweight champion and holds the distinction of fighting Flash Elorde 4 times and beating him 4 times.

Shinichi Kadota - 38-10-1 (25) - was OPBF lightweight champ and was a real body-punching specialist. Beat Chango Carmona, Ishimatsu Suzuki, Jimmy Robertson and Ronnie Harris, which eventually got him a title shot at 140. However, Antonio Cervantes was standing in his way.

Teruo Kosaka - 63-9-2 (26) - was Japanese and OPBF lightweight champion. He too fought Flash Elorde 4 times but went 1-3 against the great Filipino. Still, fought twice for the jr. lightweight title. Unfortunately, both times against Elorde, but with their first title fight a bit controversial.
