I was watching highlights of Charlo/Lubin and thought Lubin stepped up too soon for a guy like Charlo; and could've benefitted from having a few more solid fights in him before taking that fight but with that said, can you name me some examples of other young fighters/prospects who bit more than they could chew; stepped up too soon and lost?

Vargas was fine, his corner was to stupid to watch papa Trinidad wrap up. That's all.

This is how it should work in some ways. If its in them they can work on stuff, stay focused and come back stronger for it. He's had an education from the best. It can be a good thing or bad thing depending on mentality. If hes got it, he wont lose focus, if he hasn't, its down hill from here ! Acid test on mentality imo

Vargas had some very good names under his belt, he just had the misfortune of
taking on an ATG monster in Tito, that would've happened at any point that they fought.

Codrington flattened by Allan Green (nowhere near ready)
Tyrone Brunson flattened by Carson Jones (cake walks then a pressure fighter w/a chin)

Agogo lost to Cunningham a domestic guy, Luke wasn’t stepped too soon but he was brought along poorly.

Granted. He was still fast-tracked unnecessarily IMO though.

I'd say Eddie Hearn recently rushed Charlie Edwards. That title fight was far, far too soon.

Leon Spinks was fast tracked far too soon. Yes he beat Ali, but it was still crazy fast about his 8th fight as a pro.

Eubank jumped from small club level straight to Euro level when he fought Saunders. The result would be different if they fought today.
