It’s been 19 years this month since Lewis had his last fight. It got me thinking 20 years is a long time. Who are the 10 best heavyweights from 2003-2022.
1. Lennox Lewis 2. Tyson Fury 3. Wladimir Klitschko 4. Vitali Klitschko 5. Oleksandr Usyk 6. Anthony Joshua 7. Deontay Wilder 8. Alexander Povetkin 9. Ruslan Chagaev 10. David Haye
New1. Lennox Lewis 2. Wladimir Klitschko 3. Tyson Fury 4. Vitali Klitschko 5. Oleksandr Usyk 6. Anthony Joshua 7. Alexander Povetkin 8. Chris Byrd 9. David Tua 10.Deontay Wilder
I am doing this list strictly based on what they did from 2003 to 2022 and I didn't count what a man did at other weight classes. Also I am not basing it on skill, I am basing it on wins and accomplishments. 1. W. Klitschko 2. V. Klitschko 3, Fury 4, Valuev 5. Joshua 6. Wilder 7. Byrd 8. Usyk 9. Povetkin 10. Ruiz
Based off of resume and achievements strictly at Heavyweight from 03 till present and not counting Lewis 1. Wladimir Klitschko 2. Tyson Fury 3. Vitali Klitschko 4. Anthony Joshua 5. Alexander Povetkin 6. Oleksander Usyk 7. Deontay Wilder 8. Ruslan Chagaev 9. David Haye 10. Joseph Parker Usyk prob has the best win out of the bunch but other than Joshua he's riding on an old Chisora and journeyman in Witherspoon. I'm putting him in solely on his future performances otherwise Ruiz would make it. Haye, Parker and Ruiz are close for the last 2 spots, they can be swapped either way imo.
Without giving serious thought 1. Wlad 2. Tyson Fury 3. Usyk 4. Vitali 5. Anthony Joshua 6. Povetkin 7. Wilder 8. David Haye 9. Chris Byrd 10. Andy Ruiz Jr. I think there's a very good chance Usyk will surpass Fury, but Fury has done more so far.
Good list but Byrd didn’t do much from 03 on. I was surprised myself that his best performances were over 20 years ago.
1. Lennox Lewis 2. Tyson Fury 3. Vitali Klitschko 4. Wladimir Klitschko 5. Oleksandr Usyk 6. Alexander Povetkin 7. Deontay Wilder 8. Anthony Joshua 9. David Haye 10. Ruslan Chagaev
Good point. He doesn't belong in the list. Lemon Brewster probably deserves to be ahead of him and Ruiz Jr for beating Wlad actually.
I see a lot of posters put Joshua ahead of Wilder. Achievements wise, he might be, but I feel Wilder would beat him.
1. Lennox Lewis 2. Wladimir Klitschko 3. Tyson Fury 4. Vitali Klitschko 5. Deontay Wilder 6. Anthony Joshua 7. Oleksandr Usyk 8. Alexander Povetkin 9. Valuev 10. David Haye i wouldn't put Fury above the first two by any means. Though his victories over Wilder are indeed very impressive, what else has he done? 40 year old Wlad doesn't mean a whole lot imo. Also I wouldn't think of putting Usyk above Joshua, the latter a two-time heavyweight champion or Wilder...I don't care how people berate Deontay he held the title for something like five years and defended it 10 times. What Usyk has done in the division so far doesn't exceed those accomplshments imo. I put Wilder above Joshua because the former has proven to have Championship Heart...can't really say that about AJ. No.
