One way to look at it is who is PPV?

You ask a British person to name 5 foreign fighter; Pacquiao, Mayweather the 2 Klits and then probably Shane Mosely.... Marquez Cotto Martinez they're no one really.

aside from mexico, noone gives half a rats ass, about boxing under MW

The casual boxing fans are interested in big men fighting. Size DOES MATTER!

Canelo gets a lot of press around the world considering his position within boxings ranks.

Wlad, Vitali, PBF, Pac and Martinez are the guys that get the most articles though.

:good All have international appeal - not just Europe, not just Mexico or South America, not just the U.S. Biggest draws, too. You could probably argue Martinez, though, with a Bernard Hopkins or a Miguel Cotto.

Dude, you have no idea how much the Mexican people still love JCC (father). So much that they assume JCC Jr. will be something special like his father. I was talking to an older Mexican dude who used to follow boxing, and he mentioned that he heard JCC Jr. was a good fighter.

As you may know, the Mexican people are perhaps the biggest boxing audience out there. ****, even UFC want to get in the action, and they think they can achieve capturing that audience with Cain Velasquez.

I won't be surprised if JCC Jr. is a well heard of just based on his name. Even though he is ****.

Canelos parents are from Cuba-Puerto Rico, that is why he is ginger.

    Manny Pacquiao
    Floyd Mayweather
    Bernard Hopkins
    Wladimir Klitschko
    Vitali Klitschko

Martinez is not one of the big names, even guys like Mosley, Haye or Cotto are more popular and recognizable in the general publics eyes imo. He barely makes the top 10 in my eyes.

Good list. I will just replace Arreola with Briggs.
