A lot of these of these picks are based much more on who these guys didnt fight and so getting credit for not losing as opposed to the fighter taking the challenges and losing. No ****ing way DLH is rated higher than Tito or Mosely ever.

(but Pacquiao will overtake Oscar soon I think. He definitely will if he convincingly beats JMM in a 3rd fight)

Hard for me to justify Lewis.

Not really judging on record, but style.

My other really is a toss up between Morales, Barrera and Marquez. Marquez, imo is one of the best pure boxers of the last 20 years. So I will have to settle with Marquez as far as talent.

James Toney brought such an old school style that he is unique. Another top boxer, who is almost purely a boxer. Not the most power, but ring savvy, style and skill..

Roy Jones.. Well, he's Roy Jones. One of the greatest fighters, with one of the most unique styles we have ever seen.

Bernard Hopkins. Big guy for his weight devision, also not a whole lot of natural talent, but the guy could fight technically and dirty. He picked up little tricks especially with the jab, and implemented them into the staple of his game. A maestro and a dog in the ring at the same time.

Floyd Mayweather Junior. I remember watching this young guy, classy, always smiling, and never had anything bad to say about anybody. He always wanted a challenge and showed a huge amount of skill in the ring. Elusive defensively with quick hands. All of a sudden this idiot emerged, along with a shell defense, and a lot of fancy pot shotting. He became Money Mayweather. Very good technical fighter who could have been great. But he takes the bottom of my list, just edging Lennox Lewis.

the last spot was the only one that was tough, and i decided on tito, within the span of time that we are talking about, tito was one of the longest reigning champs, was considered unbeatable at 147, won legit championships at 2 additional weight divisions, and wasn't beat until he ran into a fellow great (who i also put in my top 5):

    roy jones (unquestionably)
    floyd mayweather (unquestionably)
    lewis
    hopkins
    tito

I like this list because you are clearly someone who goes for ability rather than achievement, with choices like Toney and Marquez- two superb boxers. I would say though, I think Toney's peak was undoubtedly 1991-1994, so with only 1 or 2 years of that within the 15-year-period mentioned by the thread-starter, I don't think Toney has done quite enough to be in that top 5. Top 10 yes, but not 5 IMO. I love your description of him though, he is a genius. At middleweight between '91 and '94 he most certainly did have power though.

I think the thread starter meant they had to have been the best WITHIN the last 15 yrs so no Duran, SRL or JCC.

I have just one question & its directed to quite a few of you....

WHY THE **** AM I SEEING LENNOX LEWIS NAME ON THIS THREAD.

This isnt who would win head to head, its who was the most talented fighter, Lewis wasnt even the best British fighter, that honour goes to Calzaghe & Hamed was more talented than Lewis too.

C`mon guys, get a grip, seriously.
