Usyk is the only person from this generation that has a claim as the GOAT in a division. Inoue, Canelo, Chocolatito and maybe Estrada are the only other candidates imo.
You mean getting slapped around like a red headed step child by Bivol? Lots of people have done that. Anyone who wants a decent read on Canelo judges: https://thegruelingtruth.com/boxing/history-bad-judging-canelo-alvarez/
I dont think we can consider the winner of crawford vs Spence an ATG. Hof yes, depending on the type of win. but you need more in your resume to be considered an atg imo.
Let me clarify to me there's a difference to me between greats and ATG's. Being great in one's own era via being dominant is one thing, being an ATG is something else and harder to do. For that you'd have to be considered capable of competing with the greatest through out history and for that I think you need to be more than just dominant you need to beat great opposition in big fights. Usyk, Loma, Canelo already have done more than enough to be ATG's, would be seen as a force in any era throughout the history of boxing not just their own era. Though you have to put a question mark beside Canelo's achievements due to PED's. Below them we have the likes of Crawford, Fury and Inoue, already established great fighters in their own era but for me need a little more to be considered ATG's. Fury again has a question mark over PED use, he also hasn't cleaned out heavyweight like other previous champions so can't even say he's the best of his era until he beats Usyk. Both Inoue and Crawford have been utterly dominant have picked up titles a plenty on their way up but they lack a signature win. Records get beaten but fans remember great wins and great fights, that's what lingers decades after a fighter retires. Crawford is on the brink on achieving that, Inoue still needs to secure that signature opponent, that may come in the future with a win over Tank. A win over him at some point in the future would cement his standing as an ATG for me, beating a naturally much bigger man who's seen as top 10 P4P himself.
Most of the names that come to mind just haven’t fought enough times to be considered ATGs. There just isn’t that rhythm or story to their careers.
Hahahahahahahaha. Wilder....hahahahahahahahahahaha Wilder is a tomato can crusher. Fury - the fat fake gypsy. Not in the top 20 HW's of all time. Not even close. Hahahahahahahahahahaha.
He beats up on midgets. GGG beat him at least once, arguably twice. Canelo will go down as a great but Inoue is the ATG of this generation. Easily.
I’d say Inoue is the most likely of any current fighter to go down as an all time great. And by all time great, I mean a top 25 P4P fighter in the history of boxing.
