While career are best judged when a fighter is retired, who that is active today and on top of their game would be elected into the boxing hall of fame if they retired in 2020? Pacqiuo is not on top of his game, but he's a lock first ballot guy.

Alvarez? Yes ( First ballot )
Lomachencko? Yes ( First Ballot )
Golovkin? Yes ( might have to wait 1-5 years )
Usyk? Not yet. Needs more fights. If he wins a title at heavyweight, for certain
Crawford. No. Who has he beaten?
Joshua? Yes ( But he might have to wait several years )
Inoue? No, the WBS bantamweight needs to happen, and he would need to win it.

    Chocolatito
Wilder and Joshua, maybe Fury (heavyweights get in)
Jacobs isn’t that far off given the cancer story.
    Crawford should get in.
    Mikey Garcia probably will.
    Sor Rungvisai is close.

Retired in 2020 opens a lot of doors.

Crawford will make the HOF. It's a given.

    Mikey will make it also.

Spence and Inoue if they keep going down their paths will definitely make it.

Danny Jacobs? I doubt it. I dunno, maybe in 20 years or so they'll let him in. But he sure as Hell ain't first ballot. He's best known for LOSING to Golovkin, not for any single win.

Lomachenko and Chocolatito are locks and so too unfortunately is Canelo. Crawford I think is too or at least certainly will make it. Usyk Id day yes and though I don’t think he’d deserve it Mikey Garcia will make it.

    Pacquaio is a lock.

Pac is so much of a lock I didn't even bother mentioning him. We all know he's First Ballot, regardless of who else is on that ballot with him.

    Chocolatito will definitely make it.

And yes, Loma is probably already nearing close to being a lock.

A fighter that got rookedy by a bad decision is Kovalev. I believe had he gotten the nod with the judges in the first ward fight he likely gets in now I don’t see him with any chance.

I agree. That awful decision falsified Ward’s legacy and definitely impacted Kovalev. He won’t make the hall of fame but with a win there he’d have been a lock.

I think Donaire and GGG are two others sure to make it.

Jacobs is closer than you think. If he gets Canelo or GGG in the ring and wins, he has a great chance of getting in.
