Okay, here is my serious list, no bias, just who I think are the best in that general region from 1-10 as it stands currently.

    1.Calzaghe
    2.Kessler/Dawson tie
    3.Erdei
    4.Mundine
    5.Woods
    6.Bute
    7.Diaconu
    8.Glen Johnson
    9.Bernard Hopkins
    10.Andrade

The reason that I have Andrade in there is because H2H with his chin, stamina, workrate and power he can cause a lot of guys trouble, even if he's limited. I'd pick him to KO Inkin, Froch and Braehmer for example, I'd have him 50/50 with Bute and he'd match up well with others, like Lacy.

It's very unkind of you to continue hoarding all the drugs for yourself. Please share.

I think Diaconu and Erdei are too high.

Sorry Rumsfeld, but in reviewing Hopkins/Wright, it was close and Hopkins actually had trouble with a blown up Wright due to his faded reflexes and timing, other LHW's would just toy with him and the question was 'who is the best 10 currently at LHW', Hopkins is barely in there just because he's tricky and proven.

Everyone on that list, save for Andrade, beat him easily at this point.

Tarver on the other hand, and Jones, both don't deserve top 10 spots at this point, Tarver and Jones both barely squeeked by a journeyman level opponent in their last outing.

Why? Who on that list except for Calzaghe, Kessler and Dawson beat Erdei? Diaconu would have a shot for sure, but a 'game and focused' Erdei should be able to outbox him.

Erdei would KO Mundine, would easily beat Bute, would be 50/50 with Woods and would beat Johnson, Hopkins and Andrade pretty definitively. Erdei would also OWN Inkin and Froch definitively.

Tarver and Jones no longer belong.

I think my list is spot on, Erdei is a solid guy who fights to his level of comp. Meanwhile Diaconu definitively is a dangerous guy and could KO Johnson, Hopkins and Andrade, possibly KO Bute and poses a general threat.

Does Tarver, Hopkins and Jones deserve a higher spot than Diaconu? Or a shot to pieces Paul Briggs?

    No. It's on.

You forgot about the Diaconu bit of my post.

Anyway...Erdei is a natural LHW; Bute and Mundine are natural SMW/MW...

Your question was 'who is the best from SMW-LHW', as a whole region. In that case, I am right.

You didn't ask for two seperate division rankings, you asked for the two to be merged. Erdei would SMASH Mundine and Bute, I would assure you that.

What are you going to say if Hopkins beats Joe in convincing fashion? Say, 115-113, 116-112, 116-112?

Here's the main factor Rumsfeld, I know that won't happen, so there is no point going further. There are some things in boxing that are set and Hopkins would need a KO to beat Calzaghe at this point, yet he lacks the power to do so.

It's more realistic that you'd ask me 'what if he KTFO Calzaghe', then I'd go further, because that's more realistic than him out pointing Joe at this point given his state, even though KOing Calzaghe is something that Kessler, a harder and more accurate puncher couldn't do.
