    I would put Muhammad Ali, Sugar Ray Robinson, Sugar Ray Leonard, Marvin Hagler, Joe Frazier, George Foreman, Roberto Duran, Julio Cesar and Pernell Whitaker

    Who are the best classic boxers from the past (not recent boxers like Manny Pacquiao, Floyd Mayweather, Tyson Fury etc)

    Are we talking pure boxers (Howard Davis jr Willie Pep Billy Conn Esubio Pederosa Pernell Whitaker,Mayweather jr at welter W.Benitez) Boxer punchers( R.Robinson R.Leonard,J.Louis R.Duran T.Hearns W.Gomez) Sluggers/brawlers (R.Marciano M.Tyson J.Frazier G.Foreman ,Olivares, Zarate , H.Armstrong? their are so many different styles of fighters, so many different capabilities. In other words we all know G.Foreman would destroy B.Conn. But does it make Foreman a better boxer? or a better fighter?
