True, but Diaz' stock's been raised from Porter's success since there meeting(s).

And although it's been a while since he's had a great win, his Judah, Mali, Maidana and Peterson wins rank far ahead of anyones bar Froch.

Well, even if we say who are the best British fighters NOW, that still could mean "who of the current pros plying their trade do you believe are the most talented and will be most successful by the time they retire"

That's a far more open question and one more likely to stir debate IMO.
We can all see those with world title wins are "the best" and that's fine.

Who do I consider the most talented/potentially successful fighters in Britain today?

Fury, Froch, Frampton(?), Galahad, C.Smith, Brook, DeGale and ,everyboby's favourite: Eubank Jr ! Cue the hate!

 

Hopkins clearly defeated the bum and farce Joe Calzaghe only to get robbed due to judges incompetence. The judges and delusional fans assumed that volume punching and meaningless air-punching work rate was better than Bernard's masterful and superior counterpunching. Just like Oscar DLH in his fights vs Pernell and Floyd (in which Oscar clearly lost both times despite what the judges said), Calzaghe was the ineffective aggressor while his opponent was the more effective counterpuncher.

Calzaghe threw pitter-patter slaps on Bernard's arms and shoulders, and hit air. He complained about Hopkins faking a low blow (which he did) - while forgetting all the times he hit Bernard in the back of the head without being penalized. On no planet did Calzaghe win more than 6 rounds, and because of the knockdown from Bernard there is no way he legitimately won the fight.

Compubox stats almost always are innacurate - even glancing blows or blows that completely miss can be counted on the punch stats as an effective shot, so if the compubox stats are your reasoning for Calzaghe's legitimacy then you are a fool. On top of that, matches are scored round by round - not based on who landed more overall shots. If fighter a breathes on fighter b that counts as 10 landed shots. Calzaghe parrots always recite compubox stats as their reasoning to "prove" that Calzaghe was out landing/working Hopkins - instead proving their own incompetence, ignorance, and status as neophytes with regards to boxing.

Before round 12 - Calzaghes dad - "What are you doing?," "It's over," "You HAVE to stop him." Clearly not a cornerman just trying to keep his fighter alert and motivated. They all knew they lost. Just look at Calzaghe's face before the scorecard announcement.

End of discussion Hopkins won minimum 6-6 + the knockdown. Black and white. I don't know about England but in America it's black and white. Vegas don't know nothing. YOU don't know nothing. I know everything!

Hopkins spent most of the fight running away from Calzaghe like a coward, Calzaghe won fight, and if Hopkins never ran Joe would have slapped him around the ring at will like he did Roy 'Steroids' Jones
