Wilder is an extremely small heavyweight weight wise no bigger than some cruiserweights. Gilberto Ramirez was reportedly rehydrating to 204 pounds at light heavyweight which puts him within 10 pounds of Wilder

Wilder is actually closer wieght wise to some light heavyweights (Joe Smith jr, 24 pounds), (Adonis Stevenson, 25 pounds), Gilberto Ramirez (10 pounds), than he is to fellow heavies like Joyce (44 pounds), Zhang (45 pounds), Fury (33 pounds)

It's obvious why Wilder isn't an ATG.

He never established himself as the champion or the man in the division.

His win resume is shallow relative to ATG HWs.

He lost more fights against top 10 ranked HWs than he won.

Frankly, it really shouldn't need explaining on the classic forum.

In the context of the discussion we were having, the majority view is relevant.

Dubblechin quoted my post and attempted to belittle the views expressed within it.

Establishing that those are views held by the majority, on a subject inherently subjective by its very nature, is absolutely relevant to our discussion.

I am not sure where you are going with this.

Just that I wouldn't think we would need to see someone at heavy to pick them over Wilder. I agree it could help to see him at cruiserweight

Anything is possible in the ring. Old timers weren't so dependent on weight advantage.

Would you favor Opetaia or Breidis over Wilder?

Moreover, if Louis had the exact same career as Beterbiev how do you see him doing? You'll say Louis couldn't make light heavy but let's say for the sake of argument he spends his career fighting light heavyweights without having to make weight.

    I think so too.

I would probably pick Jai Opetaia over the current version of him though.

Why are you so obsessed with fantasy scenarios putting fighters in different weightclasses ?

You tried to say Tyson could make Cruiserweight he clearly couldn't.

    Louis couldn't make Light Heavyweight.

So what is the actual point of all this pointless nonsense all the time ?

Zurdo Ramirez who rehydrated to 204 would disagree. And Louis could clearly make cruiserweight easily.

Dempsey and Marciano would be average sized light heavyweights

I don't know how to be any more definitive than to give an example of a guy heavier than Joe Louis fighting at light heavy and I did just that. What more do you want?

Don't make false statements if you don't want to be corrected

You were asking why I was interested in fights between fighters from different divisions and that's because these fighters from other divisions are often the same size as former heavyweights whether you like it or not

Tyson cutting weight to make cruiserweight would be a 15-18 pound weight cut which is nothing. Maybe you should stop making idiotic arguments like Tyson not being able to make cruiser so I won't have to keep correcting you.

Problem with you is you like the sound of your own voice too much.
