Exactly. Go ahead and compare Williams and Margaritos resume over the past 2 years. Its a no contest. Margarito has fought most of the top guys at WW. Actually all the top guys and has only lost to 1 in what was a bad fight for him. Also people tend to forget that this is the hottest division in boxing and Margo has been willing to face everyone in it. What more do you guys want? He wants to take some easier money fight (mosley) which is actually a pretty damn tough fight still.

Margarito doesn't even get enough hype to make this list. People call him "The Mummy" and stuff like that. He's known for being durable, tough, relentless - but not much of a boxing dynamo.

You know the Patriots had a better resume then the Giants and when you compared what they had done over the past few years it was no contest..But you know what??? they now call the Giants CHAMPIONS:hey

Beatting a guy means something, in fact when comparing the two it means more then anything eles, this isnt a case were one was on the upswing and one was on the down side, it was a fight between two fighters in thier primes and at thier best...Margo lost so who he fought dont ****ing matter when your comparing the two...:hi:

Make no mistake about it, Mosley is not an easy money fight and I don't think for one second Margarito believes that to be the case either.

I'm of the opinion that Mosley's showing against Mayorga last time out was pretty dismal, but he's still a great fighter who went 12 hard rounds with Miguel Cotto earlier this year. If Mosley is disciplined enough to hit and hold, and has the legs to move for 12 full rounds, he might shock the world.

I'm picking Margarito, but this is going to be an exciting and competitive fight. Can hardly wait. :good

Paul Williams is also willing to fight anyone in the division but no one(including Margarito) wasnt to get in the ring with him.:smoke

Cotto thought really good, got a bit overhyped. After the Lovemore, Corley, and Torres fights, I knew it was a matter of time before he got KTFO.

    Restate your question.

Generally, Margarito is given credit for being exactly what he is, and nothing more. To some extent in fact, Margarito is downgraded from what he is - particularly back during the period before the Cotto fight when he was called a "club fighter" and **** like that. Up until present day nobody highlights anything other than his chin for the most part (as you did).

    Exactly.

People like Hudson are just haters anyhow Rafael, no point in trying to talk sense to him and others. Everytime he comments on Margarito's it's something negative about him supposedly ducking a fighter he's already fought, etc. Margarito does not qualify for this thread because he is what he is, and I haven't heard anybody, fans, commentators, fighters, or journalists, saying otherwise.

So true. I think it is the few who picked him to win, especially by KO, who saw how he started breaking Cotto down from round 1.

Mostly the rest, those who picked Cotto by clear UD, are the ones who said Cotto dominated the first 6 rounds.

Margrito is so underrated. I would rather lose to Paul Williams than to lose to Carlos Quintana by UD.

he has a great chin AND he is HUGE for a ww ad he has a ton of stamina and strength which makes him tough to beat..he is NO club fighter but his skills are def limited
