It's interesting because Hatton really isn't rated all that highly in general. Even in the UK. All sorts of people expected Malignaggi to beat him, now he's "vastly overrated" again because he won. The truth is Hatton has performed at the world class level. Proven. He knowingly took on the best fighter in the world at a higher weight, got handled.. Suddenly he's ****, even though he still steamrolled past Lazcano on the cards (simply because he got wobbled a few times).. And we still don't know exactly how good Collazo is.

Most people will tell you Hatton isn't anything special at all. Just a hugger, a wrestler, a cheat, ect. He's killing this poll, but it's just the same ****. "Hatton sucks," ect, ect.

It's unfortunate that many hate on Ricky.

Ricky lost to the P4P King at a higher weight, and all of a sudden exposed.

Yet a fighter like Cotto get destroyed by Margarito and Cotto simply didn't have the right game plan that night.

Hatton gets wobbled by Collazo and Lazcano a bit, for seconds, he is all of a sudden Glass jawed, overrated.

Cotto gets wobbled by Corley and Torres for almost three minutes each, but "Hey, it's boxing, it happens".

My point is, Hatton is hated on, unfairly, and ridiculously.

    Cotto and Dawson.

Cotto: He's my favorite modern day boxer. However, he is very vulnerable. That's partially why he's exciting to watch. But people often don't realize this about him. For this reason, he was only a 5-1 favorite vs Gomez.

Dawson: He's yet to face a legitimate opponent so it's hard to tell how good he is. Tarver looked shot and Johnson looked old.

I agree with your points for the most part despite being a cotto fan and a haton hater.

And Johnson won. At least that's what I think.

The standout is Berto. Although its mostly people in the boxing world that rate him highly.

Taylor was a perfect example, but I think we've got some sort of perspective on him.

Nah. A LOT of people on here think hes very overrated as do I. Making him not overrated because so many people believe hes overrated.

I guess I'm in the minority here because I actually believe Berto is under-rated. Actually strike that, I think he's rated exactly where he should be for the time being. I just think too many people are calling him overrated simply for that fact that his level of competition hasn't been raised as quickly as many would like to have seen it.
