Andre Ward is a great boxer, but he is such an idiot for calling himself "Son of God", I mean, why do something so openly blasphemous? Does he really want Hell that bad? I'm not Christian, but even in Christianity, it should be considered blasphemous to call yourself "Son of God", I think...

Not going by the bible. 1 John 3:1 "How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him."

Galations 4:6 "Because you are sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, "Abba, Father.""

The reason were called CHILDREN, SONS, DAUGHTERS of god is because God's real and only son, Jesus Christ, died for us. The bible says we inherited what he had, and we are seated in heavenly places WITH HIM (Because he is seated in heavenly places). It's like inheriting property when your dad passes away... You have everything he had.

I like the thread, it's very creative, but it seems like in boxing if you think about it.. Manny and Floyd are the 2 biggest fighters currently in boxing. Earn the most $, are talked about the most, are loved/ hated the most, but the most talked about.
They are 2 very different people... Yet they have two things in common.
    1. They worship the same (1) God.
    2. They say publicly they worship the same (1) God.

God doesn't always care if we win every single boxing match, or game, but the bible is clear he favors those that love him, and give him the credit. Both of there lifestyles are some times questionable, but there's no denying they give God the credit, and both are the biggest names in boxing. Coincidence?

I swear whenever you religious nutjobs talk is like hearing the children of the corn or something. ****in zombies. You cant talk about anything without quoting your book of bs written by superstitious desert sheep herders 2000 years ago.

Well, at least the people from millenia ago had a good excuse, humanity was young and ignorant, they needed answers desperately and had no way of getting those answers through analysis and rationalization.

So they had to invent fairy tales to explain every single natural phenomenon, from the origin of life to the sunrise to why it rains, to why people get sick.

They had a excuse to be superstitious, today's people don't. Today's people are just pitiful brainwashed creatures, willingly ignorant. Religion is a socially accepted form of irrational madness, and religious nutjobs are just as dangerous as madmen. That's why it's terrible when they get a hold of even a bit of power.
