A few years ago you had the likes of:

    Barerra
    Morales
    (ODLH)

These two are virtually done. And i know you still have marquez bros, but they are getting old now as well

    is it all about:

    Chavez Jr
    Juan Diaz
    Christian Mijares
    chris areola (?)

Who else are mexican fighters to look out for?

I understand marquez bros are not that old, but they have been around for ages now, i wonder if their time will come soon.

jesus i thought soto was an old man, hes a very good pick.

i think soto and mijares will end up being excellent fighters

i dont think ponce de leon will amount to much. hes too 1 dimensional and will get outboxed by anyone good.

Diaz and Arreola are Americans, although their parents were Mexican; still, they don't count as Mexican any more than ODLH in my book. I doubt Arreola becomes that big anyway.

Until last week, Baby Face Garcia would have been near the top of the list, but he looked like he just wants to quit boxing.

Jhonny Gonzalez is one I like better than most of the other guys already listed.

He's a few years away from making a name, but there are huge hopes for Vicente Escobedo, who sparked a bidding war between promotion companies before his first fight, although he too is American-born.

jesus some people are sensitive to these matters

i was just asking because it tends to draw more fans. and i like the typical style a mexican fights with. come forward, good body attacker, and willing to get hit.

if any other fighter fights like that then im a fan as well.

And also check out the Mexican team for the Beijing Olympics in 2008.

I think the best is the Middleweight (but he will be fighting in Super Middlweight) in the Pro's, 6'2 Marco Antonio Periban, that beat the Cuban number 1, to get to the Panamerican Games in Rio this summer.

There are others with good chances for a medal like Carlos Cuadras, Odilon Zaleta and Braulio Avila

The best right now is Rafael Marquez

Margarito could be too, if he beats Williams
