Come to think of it, was anyone more blessed with exceptional gifts more than RJJ in the history of this sport? Maybe some were just as talented (Can't think of any) but i don't think anyone was MORE talented. I mean important attributes like reflexes and hand speed were off the charts for RJJ.

Well, you're only 18. You missed RJJ's prime years. You probably think the best of RJJ was him beating Tito?

You probably shouldn't be commenting too much on the greatness of Roy Jones then, unless you've got his career on DVD or something like that.

He had unquestionable talent, but I think he tends to get overrated. His opposition in his prime wasn't all that great with the exception of Toney and a green Hopkins. He was never unbeatable like some people say.

And to the guy who says he would starch Sugar Ray Leonard. :patsch Leonard never came close to getting knocked out in his prime.

Perhaps you're right, not like my opinion coutns for much round these parts anyway. I just don't like hearing about how some fighters were supposedly once unbeatable. I've seen many of his fighst and highlight reels, he was incredible, but never unbeatable.

I've been watching boxing since the mid-eighties, so I saw Tyson in his prime.

But in my opinion the best fighter of my lifetime would be Roy Jones. Whitaker would be second.

Actually, before his KO loss to Tarver in 2004, he was unbeatable. His only loss was a DQ loss because he hit Griffin while he was down. And he was pretty much running through everyone put in front of him.

Roy was seemingly unbeatable in his prime. Anyone who watched him live during his prime knows what I'm talking about. He never came close to loosing, not one close fight(unless you count the DQ loss). He was never wobbled, and only KD once(he wasn't even hurt, he was more off balance). This guy had every tool a fighter could dream of, and never once came close to losing in his prime(outside of the DQ). That's why people are so high on Roy

What he said is 100% true.

Outside of Griffin 1 where he was actually behind in one of the scorecards, he was never reall challenged by anyone. And even in that fight, he was starting to find the mark and he was pretty much about to take Griffin out.
