I'd say Lewis had a worse chin than Wlad, he just had a better mind set when hurt. He didn't panic all too much unlike Wlad who looks petrified when hit hard.

Are people really slating Lewis's chin?:lol:

Chinny fighters don't go to war with Ray Mercer and Vitali.

They also don't beat Holyfield and Tua.

Ok, Lewis got bingo'd badly when he got stopped, but in no way, shape or form is he "chinny".

Terry Norris is chinny. Amazing talent, but if you could half-crack you had him.

Let's not also forget that Lennox was fighting in a division where THE HARDEST PUNCHERS ON EARTH reside!

If he was really chinny he'd have never scaled the heights that he did.

Lewis survived more times because his good defence, reach and height. His heart was very important too.
Rahman and mccall are not relevant guys in hitting power in history.
Foreman or bowe had much worse defence than lewis. And specially foreman took a much much better shot when he was not tired early. Lewis had great heart but weak chin.you can tell the histories that you want

For the record when Bernard Hopkins was on his way up the middle way ranks he was considered one of the hardest hitters in the division. The Hopkins that fought Joner Jr and Glen Johnson brings completley different variables to the eqation to the Hopkins' we've seen in the last 15 years

Besides a KO loss in 1970 to Jose Luis Garcia, Norton was KO'd by Foreman, Shavers, and ****ey. Three mammoth punchers. ****ey, by the way, in Ken's last fight. Foreman and Shavers are rated as two of the hardest punchers in boxing history and Foreman rated ****ey up there with one of the hardest punchers that he, himself, faced.

Ruby Goldstein. Although best remembered as a referee, he was an excellent fighter in the 20s and 30s, compiling a 54-6 record.

Histories? Matey, Lennox beat ALL the best HW's of the 90's and got stopped like twice.

    The man isn't chinny.

Floyd not an ATG; that's your opinion and I'll accept that.
What does glass jaw actually mean. Going down and out? No one ever put Floyd face down; he was getting to his feet against Liston. He got up seven times against Ingo. Many of his KD's were off balance shots, especially early in his career. I'd even argue that Lewis was more '***** faced' in his two KO losses than Floyd was against Sonny and Ingo.
Show me a fighter that was actually better after losing his title; his shortcomings post 63 were of his own doing, not from anything dished out from his opponents.
Not an ATG? A small heavy at the time sans a Cruiser division with those skills? Perhaps the fastest 'HW' of all time with those combos (which we so seldom saw with his passivity) and that Left Hook which could stop anyone in their tracks!
Don't go after my childhood hero. :D

I "don' know 'bout that",....Primo Carnera, who ko'ed Jack Sharkey, and is esteemed by many of the residents of this forum as being a better puncher than he's been given credit for being (like Ali), landed many flush shots over a MUCH smaller Tommy Loughran WITHOUT coming close to decking or stopping Tommy.
