Who are the greatest post war British middle weights and in what order.

Benn, Eubank, Turpin, Graham, Minter... Woodhall are names that immediately spring to my mind....

Turpin has decent wins besides the 'big one'. Sibbo was a very good fighter but a little one dimensional IMHO.

Icemax, who would you have fancied in a Sibbo-Graham fight back in the day?

Its a fight that I would loved to have seen but their careers just didn't quite crossover at MW. I honestly believe that Graham would have had too much for Sibson, too quick, too smart...problem is Bomber always had the ability to grab defeat from the jaws of victory

Yep, you're right. Although Graham wanted the fight, by the time it was a realitistic possibility Sibson was looking at 'cashing out' with a world title fight rather than taking on a domestic challenger.

I don't know how you could have Watson above both Eubank and Benn.

Yes, he may have a victory over Benn, but Eubank has a victory over both Benn and Watson (you may disagree with the decision, but the win has to go to Eubank) - This then means Eubank has matched Watson's best win and then beat Watson. This I feel puts Eubank over Watson.

I guess you could make a case for Watson being over Benn, due to him having a victory over him, but Benn picked up the world title and defended it, whilst Watson unsuccessfully picked up the title in a good effort, although Watson had the much tougher task compared to Benn when trying to win the title.

Personally, I would have it like this between the 3 at middleweight:

    1. Eubank
    2. Benn
    3. Watson

No way is Eubank higher than Benn. Head to head okay but Benn's resume is a different level to Eubank's. Watson is hard to place, if he'd won the second fight against Eubank I think he would have gone on to surpass them both, sadly we all know what happened there.

Fair enough but I still think its debatable who had the better wins, I know Eubank was undefeated but he won two very controversial fights over Watson (although I do feel he might have edged the first one), Benn possibly has the better wins at middleweight even if Eubank is undefeated.
