If DeGale, Sutherland and Groves can live up to expectation.

Beating 'never been stopped' blown up Eurobum welterweights is much more important than finding out how good they actually are.

cool thread, when you are making a list do you think who would beat who head to head or look at the record or just who's style you like?

I think some people do it H2H, others on achievements, resume, legacy etc, others a mixture of all things...

...I guess some on how they liked the colour of their shorts, judging by some of the lists around here.:D just jokin'

I tend to place more emphasis on resumes, but H2H does carry some weight of course.

They lose points for fighting for Commonwealth and WBO titles though

Not much love for Minter then, TFFP?

Minter did lose to some pretty ordinary guys, sometimes due to his susceptibility to cutting.

Graham H2H is a pretty bad match for all of them, with the possible exception of Eubank (and maybe Watson) but his ability to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory (as mentioned previously) and his lack of wins over genuinely top class oppo count against him.

This in many ways isn't his fault, I think I would duck him as well :nut

Graham was apparently a nightmare for Eubank in sparing (the only time he sparred with him I think) and Eubank said he'd never fight him.

You hear varying reports of that..... I have read Johnny Nelson's book and he says that Graham toyed with him for a bit before Eubank figured him out and beat him up.

I can see both scenario's actually, pre-Watson II Eubank was a pretty decent puncher.

    Graham beats Eubank IMO

Eubank had atrocious punching technique that left himself off balance if he missed and he needed to be set up for it. I think Graham could give him the angles and the movemnt to not let Eubank get set up and when he did throw his shots to land counters while Eubnak is off balance

a terrible match up for Eubank IMO

    Graham WIDE UD

Chris could KO Bomber though..... he wasn't chinny (IMO) but he was a class below Nigel Benn in that department, whose chin is underrated I feel.

Not a whole lot. I think all those guys beat the breaks off him. He probably deserves to be higher in terms of accomplishments but on film he doesn't look all that impressive in comparison.

Yeh but Eubank needs to set himself up i dont think Graham would let him get set up and if he did Graham would be nowhere near him.

Really im quite impressed by Minter, very awkward style to beat.

Eubank did indeed beat Benn and Watson at 160, but achieved his best as a 168lber.

Do you not feel Benn did the same? Because he is quite further up in your listings compared to Eubank.
