I see a lot of recognizable faces. I assume you're talking about the weird looking fellow in the red suit and other non boxers. Emile looks so out of place and lost. Still the best boxer in the room, would have washed the fab four and dominated anyone in the last 40 years or so. 135-160lbs.

Emile Griffith would have beaten the Fab Four guys? Really?

    Really? You doubt Griffith?

Against them? I doubt he wins even one. Duran probably, but none of the others.

Too insular in style and too small for Hearns, not dynamic enough for Leonard, doesn't have enough of anything for Hagler. The Duran that beat Moore could get him too, but you never knew what you'd get with him.

The important question is how high is the stool that Sly is standing on?

My post was half kidding with some of the stuff I said, but I truly think you’re severely and painfully underrating Griffith SSF.

You really think he would've whipped the Fab Four? I mean I love him, but I never really thought he could beat someone like Duran or Hagler.

He was a great fighter no doubt, but I don't think saying he loses to the Fab Four bunch to necessarily be a slap in the face. I just don't have him on that level.

I was half kidding, but I think he'd have an even chance against Leonard, Hagler and Duran. It's hard to envision the Hearn's fight for me so I am indifferent. I rate him very, very highly it might be because he's a hero of mine, but it isn't out of the realm of reason to see someone as accomplished as Emile have a shot against the FAB4 is it? As an older, worn man he gave Monzon fits and fought a step behind but not shamelessly and I have Carlos a step ahead of the fighters of the FAB4 in terms of H2H.

But, he obviously fought on that level, he fought guys better then those in the four. Monzon and Napoles beat the FAB4 for my money. Tiger is great a challenge as any especially for a guy coming upstairs, Tiger was about to become LHW champion of the world and was an ATG (Top 15? Top 10?) 160lber. That's only scratching the surface of his achievements.

Debatable how much better Monzon and Napoles were, and it bears pointing out Griffith did go 0-3 against them, so not sure how that plays in Griffith's favor really.

It's not beating them I am pointing out, it's the fact he was obviously on the level. seeing 0-3 is misleading. Duran went 1-4 against Hearns, Hagler and Leonard. He gave Monzon whom I'd favour to chop up Leonard, Hearn's and Duran all he could handle as an old man.
