Add Thompson to that list, even Holyfield would have a chance.

I did watch the video, and I've seen Haye fight since. If you're suggesting that he was exhausted only after 4 and a half rounds and not by the punch that connected than I'd have to say I disagree with you. Did you even notice the immediate stance change and loss of legs after the knockdown? :think

You guys are actually trying to sell that Haye was exhausted after only a couple rounds?? In that case, not only his chin but his stamina is what gets him KO'd in the heavyweight division.

based on what ive seen: wlad, peter, povetkin, sultan, virchis, valuev and wheel-chair bound vitali all put haye into a coma

i have no problem elevating haye in the division but he and his delusional fanboys need to do more fighting and less ****-talking

Exactly. Haye is going to get KTFO early and often as he tries to go up against the big boys. He'll be more Bob Foster than Evander Holyfield - I'd BET on it! :nod

A lot of heavyweights have the power to take him out.

Any of the top heavies are capable of KOing Haye if they hit him flush. But I think he can do the same.

Butterbean fights 4 round fights, and he cant even do one sit-up. Haye simply got his ass knocked out by a second rate, 40 year old aging Cruiserweight. Haye just cant take a punch, even a blown up suppermiddleweight Mock had that *** on ***** street.

Yes, because he clearly was. If you can't see the change in work rate due to exhaustion then I really don't know what else I can say. I don't think Haye has great punch resistance, I'm not denying that - just think it's clear that it was something else that was responsible for his only loss.

Butterbean throws about 4 punches a round and his footwork involves turning around really slowly to face his opponent, even a 40 stone obese man could last 4 rounds at that pace.

Why do you hate Haye so much? The HW division is boring, Haye can punch, is not a fat ******* like the majority of the others and is willing to fight anyone. You should be happy that he is bringing excitement to probably the worst division in boxing.

Good post :good But is Shannon Briggs slow now? The guy used to be lightning quick for a heavyweight. The Briggs that hurt Lewis would have overwhelmed Haye I reckon.

Haye's going to be a beast at heavyweight,

Not a freakshow 260lb beast but a ripped, fast, mobile and powerful NIGHTMARE for all the current heavyies, including wlad.

Any HW can KO Haye if he gives them an opening, gets sloppy, or tired.

This is a division where one punch can change a persons night !!

People are overlooking his exceptional jab it's like a piston.

I expect his tactics at heavyweight to break down his opponents with his evil bodyshots like he did to Mormeck and perhaps a slightly higher guard.

    I agree:good

HW is universlly derided as the weakest division in the sport (well, it and straw-weight), and Haye will bring a lot of things to the ring that most of the other big guys don't have: footwork for one, upper-body and head movement for another (Chagaev is actually quite good in this area; everyone else is terrible), and amazing reflexes (Haye's defence isn't the best, but those reflexes still brought him to the undisputed no. 1 spot at Cruiser with just the Thompson blip; they will be even more of an asset at Heavy were the opposition is generally ponderous and slow).

Haye's speed off punch is far superior to anything else the division has to offer, and his punch-power will be superior to most (Vlad and Peter excepted).

In the departments of Chin and Stamina he may fall down. but I honestly don't think either is that bad.

Of course we will soon find out.
