Why do people really care about and fight over PPV numbers like little girls?

It's not like someone is going to write you a check?

People who argue about PPV most be unemployed and are living through these fighters.

    These guys need jobs.:-(

If Calzaghe was involved in a ppv event, you would be on here arguing about the numbers just like the rest of them.

    you idiot....

ppv numbers are important if they don't do good in duckweathers case showtime will pressure him to take competitive fights thus giving the fans what they want...

but simple boxing fans dont understand this leave the business side to the experts....

Big PPV numbers are good for the sport, regardless of the fighters involved. Anyone who roots against big PPV numbers isn't a fan of the sport period.

The "Losers" are all of the promoters, boxers, trainers, and managers involved in professional boxing.

Dismissing an integral aspect of the sport that shapes it's evolution and drives the current climate is very short sighted.

I am not a fan of boxing ppv numbers but of boxing. The fact that fanboy promote or disrigard boxers with those numbers is somewhat ridiculous. It is even more ridiculous when boxers also get in that kind of arguments.

But it is part of the boxing world and it is interesting to also know the economics of boxing. So I see it more like knowledge about a hobby/passion. Caring about those is more a matter of curiosity and intelligence.
