McCallum. Ron Lyle??? Believe it or not given how much people love him on here, but Ricardo Lopez; too small to be mainstream, but one of the best all-rounders EVER!

Herol Graham's another one. Only remembered for getting sparked by Julian Jackson, he was very tricky and originator of the 'Sheffield Style'.

In terms of my personal favorites, Lopez ranks amongst the best ever on my list that I ever saw fight. He was one of the first Mexican fighters I saw who didn't speak English at first, and started to speak English in post fight interviews after every fight. You could not help but love this man.

Finito! he was boxing imitating art. never have i seen such a perfect boxer. i remember the comentators saying if a trainer really wanted to show an upcoming fighter the fundamentals of boxing, they had to show the pupils a Ricardo Lopez video. great fights with alvarez. great champion:happy

british fighters who were under-rated across the water - benn, watson, eubank, buchanan, calzaghe :smoke ,herol graham , lennox lewis was under-rated over there for years until you couldn't deny he existed any longer.
another who springs to mind is mike mcallum, he was fantastic .

don't tell pacfan, he reckons he was shite .i agree with you on this one mcgrain, very under-rated fighter and a great scalp for a 21 year old hamed.

the other two FW's of robinsons time, mcmillan and mckenzie were excellant too.and the lad who beat mcguigan, hodkinson ?

    agree with holmes and charles...

my choice may make some of you say 'what the fook??'....but this guy was a handful for any super middleweight champ through the 90's...i think roy jones was only man who could handle him easily...

    sugar boy malinga.

You know Rocky, holmes, and Wlad all have the same thing in common, all three followed great era's in heavyweight boxing, all three were respected less for that, and the apparent lack of talent of thier reigns...The thing that sets Holmes and Rocky apart from Wlad is that they actually fought some of the greats, and Wlad didnt, albeit past thier primes it was still something that had to be done.

I think that Henry Armstrong is by far the most underrated fighter EVER, in my mind he is P4P of all times, what he did will never EVER be done again, featherweight, Lightweight and welterweight reigning and DEFENDING champion at one time is amazing, and the greatest accomplishment in sports history. he held 3/8 or about 40% the boxing titles at once
