His stock went down after the Martinez and Kermit fight but I still like him. His instincts to tear it up make for fun fights and his love of throwing to the body are a bonus. I'm just hoping for a great fight. Martinez is a top guy too.
Not sure tbh, he really tried to avoid the Martinez rematch. That pisses me off cos a year ago they were saying he'd fight anyone from 147-160 but when the Martinez rematch came up his team made bull**** excuses about wanting to go back to 147. He also asked for the 158 catchweight when there was no need.
I like Williams, but he's been so overhyped as "the most avoided man in boxing" when he doesn't really measure up to the claims about him. He is a good fighter and I like his attitude of taking whatever fights he can get rather than politicking and doing everything he can to avoid them and protect whatever alphabet belt he's happened across. I'm picking Martinez against him tonight though, I thought Williams lost the last one.
I like him. There was a time where I thought he was unbeatable , that aura has definitely gone in recent fights but I fancy him over Martinez.
I like him, hes gone off the boil a bit in his last few fights but I still think he will win tonight then hopefully fight Cotto.
Im a big paul williams fan. Just wants to fight the best and it pisses me off he doesnt get the money and recognition he deserves. He will punish martinez tonight
Been a fan ever since watching him in against Margarito. Seems a genuine, humble guy - and Christ, sometimes it's like watching Dr Octopus in there...
I really like Paul Williams. He'll fight anyone. Many of his fights are entertaining and he seems like a sound fella. I have a soft spot for Martinez too. I'm watching the fight as a neutral. Just hoping that it will be a similar war like the last one.
