Maidana has already been beaten by Alexander and Khan and was also given a hard fight by Sotto-Karrass and Morales.

he is almost a completely different fighter under garcia. he would beat those guys in a rematch, and he would knock khan out with a looping overhand right

They are all Jr welters masquerading as welters. That is why there is so much ducking in this division.
Recent welters Felix Trinidad 5 foot 11 Oscar Dela Hoya 5 10 Ike Quartey 5 9 and all could punch. Floyd is the tallest of the current bunch at 5 8

    I would say:

    Floyd, Pac, and Khan.

Reason that I say this is because I believe that these 3 fighters are the ones whose fights (between each other, hopefully) would be the ones to define the division. They are the 3 best in the key categories (skill, power, speed) and this is why I see them as the 3 best and most pivotal fighters in the division.

I have Brook and JMM as close outsiders though.

All the other fighters in the top 10 are still exceptional, but these guys measure up the best in my opinion.

And I am not sure of where the Maidana renaissance has emerged from. He did better than expected against Floyd, and he is a great fighter to watch, but Alexander trounced him and I see Bradley, Brook and JMM doing much the same. I think Porter and Thurman beat him too, but in a different manner.

I like him, but can't overlook the limitations that everyone saw in him before the two Floyd defeats. I think we learned more about Floyd in those fights than we did about Maidana (who fought no different to the way that he has in the past).

    Just my opinion though.

If you count Pac and JMM at 140, where they should be then it's Floyd, Brook and Khan.

pretty much this. But i feel that on a good day since Jmm is old and Bradley chooses to fight toe to toe often Maidana, Khan and Thurman could be on their level
