Arnold isn't a natural born citizen. All PR's born after Jan.13 1941 are natural born citzens of the U.S.

I think Arnie would make a better President than Cotto.

I suppose it would have been quite short sighted for a country based on immigration to choose an official language, as the majority of none English speakers could (as some are claiming is happening now) one day be a majority.

Quite wise if that is the case.

Or could it be another 18th Century remnant of the USA dropping anything of particularly Britishness

    Don't be ridiculous!!

Many people, like myself, prefer to call ourselves British than English.
Especially when nobs like you connect Englishness with Empire. Even though the vast majority of English people feel quite guilty of our Empirical past, which is why you don't find much nationalism or patriotism here anymore.

Nope, we don't rule the World now and we are ****ing glad about it!

Do you not want to share Lloyd Honeghan with us?

I suppose, if you are struggling, we could also share Bruno and Lewis.

There have been some ****ing good British boxers of Jamaican decent, hasn't there?

Where in it? I can never imagine any self-respecting Welsh or Scottish person saying that so i`m guessing your English! Why dont you say you are from England? I`m not having a go really, just would like to know why.....

That is because Scottish and Welsh people are generally insecure about being from small, somewhat irrelevant nations (I'm not having a go) so they go out of their way to make the point, that they are seperate from England, that they have their own unique identity. Given that the "English" make up more than 83% of the UK population, "British" and "English" are inter-changeable terms. Personally I find that "English" has connotations of being a) white b) colloquial and c) working class. None of those things are important parts of my identity, so I choose to describe myself as British.
