You are right,but lets not forget that a passport is just a piece of paper!

I know quite a few people who own a German,Spanish,American,or Czech passport,but stem from Russia or Belarus. I very much doubt that the mayority of them feels any loyalty towards his host nation.It is just convenient to hold an American passport or a passport of one of the member countries of the european union.It helps a lot!

Nevertheless,blood and your mother tongue as well as family ties are much stronger than a piece of paper and an artificial feeling of companionchip.

 

John McCain wasn't born on American soil and he just ran for president. You need to be a naturalized citizen to run for president. Puerto Rican's born after 1940 are considered naturalized citizens of the United States.

Naturalized citizen and Natural born citizen are interchangeable terms, they mean the same thing. Of course they can't vote in the general election, they have no representation in the U.S congress.

 

no they are not. a naturalized citizen is a person born in another country who gains u.s. citizenship through the immigration and naturalization process. . a natural born citizen iz one born on what can be considered u.s. soil.
