I will take the Hamed comments on board - but I think you are a little harsh on Wlad - about not making a top 20.

Who could Wlad have fought that he hasn't?

Personally I see Wlad struggling with the same gulf in competition that Lewis did at the time. Of cause I don't rank Wlad as highly as Lewis - but to ridicule him for getting in a top 20 since 1995 is a little harsh I think. Who could he have faced that he didn't? Sure he got caught a few times, and lost - but so did Lewis.

Seeing as JMM is now ranked p4p above Joe who is in the highlight of his career (the twilight as well), surely JMM has a case for tenth spot? Just a wild idea..

Dont really understand why Calzaghe doesnt even make your top 10. His career is similar to Hopkins

    10+ year world champion
    Cleaned out their divisions
2x name wins (hopkins - Trinidad, DLH) (Joe - Lacy or Eubank, Kessler)
And a big win above thier natural weight (Hopkins - Tarver) (Joe - Hopkins)
There is one key difference though...Calzaghe has never lost a fight.

Holyfield should not be in the top ten imo. Lost more big fights than he won.

People can take Holyfield out as he perhaps belongs to an era earlier...

I included him because wins over Mike Tyson, Michael Moorer, a draw with prime Lewis ATG, and a win over Ray Mercer during this period are pretty decent imo...

The reason being that the OP only created this thread so he can squirm with glee every time a poster omits Calzaghe from their list.

How about you make your own list and include Joe - if you feel he warrants an inclusion. Personally I think he is in or knocking on the door of a top ten. What do you think?

Ok Jon, fair play to you. I might do that tomorrow if this thread is still alive. Too tired tonight, time to sleep.

For the record, Jones' wins over Toney and Hopkins occured before 1995 so they technically don't count for this thread.
