    The 10 best heavyweights right now, in no particular order:

    * Tyson Fury
    * Deontay Wilder
    * Anthony Joshua
    * Luis Ortiz
    * Joe Joyce
    * Filip Hrgovic
    * Dillian Whyte
    * Efe Ajagba
    * Joseph Parker
    * Tony Yoka

    With Daniel Dubois and Frank Sanchez ready to step in.

    The division should be good for a while. There's a good core of people coming up.

    The other guys are former names who need to call it a day or guys who scored a big win once upon a time but aren't really threats anymore.

    Fury is without question #1. Yeah, Joshua has a deeper résumé but his boxing class doesn't erase being sparkled by a Fatman. So Fury is #1, Josh is #2.

    The next 4/5 are comprised of the likes of Whyte, Ruiz, Usyk, Parker and Wilder. After that you have the Povetkin's, Hunter's, Rivás's ect. splitting them comes down to criteria and opinion I guess. Personally, I like to mix them a little bit.

    #10. Alexander Povetkin
    #9. Oscar Rivás
    #8. Michael Hunter
    #7. Andy Ruiz
    #6. Joseph Parker
    #5. Deontay Wilder
    #4. Dillian Whyte
    #3. Oleksandr Usyk*
    #2. Anthony Joshua
    #1. Tyson Fury

    *H2H and résumé at CW. Let's hope he can maintain that form, if his HW career finally picks up.

    I have deliberately excluded the 40 year old grandfather crew, who are still near the top of certain ranking orgs (Ortiz, Pulev, Povetkin etc...). Despite being shot to **** and now 6 round fighters.

    Also excluded fighters I feel have already been exposed as not being genuinely elite (Hunter, Chisora, Joyce, Martin, Hellenius, Kownacki, Kuzmin, Hughie Fury, Washington). Or fighters who genuinely dont care enough to train any longer because they are rich (Ruiz Jr)

    Would really like some new contenders get some title shots in 2020 and 2021

    I like how you have excluded all the old men, who already had their title shot and failed. With the exception of Ortiz that is.

    Boxing is a young mans game and I cannot understand why all these very old men, are ranked so high from the previous era.

    They shouldnt still be anywhere near the top of the rankings, these men cant even do 12 rounds at pace with designer PEDs let alone naturally.

    I agree about keeping the new faces moving up.

    Ortiz and Whyte, IMO, are ready to be moved out. I could see both being replaced by guys like Dubois or Sanchez pretty soon. Ortiz has had a few shots. And every time Whyte fights there seems to be an excuse as to why he looks so bad. I mean, he barely got past Wach last time out. At some point, you're just bad and it's time to move them out.

    We'll see how their next fights go.

    Povetkin can't even beat Hunter at this point. Ruiz wasn't a contender before he fought Joshua and he isn't now that he's lost. He's a classic one-hit wonder. I don't see any point in rating either.

    The only thing I didn't agree with on yours was Joe Joyce. I don't think it's been proven he's not genuinely elite. I actually think he's going to beat Dubois. We'll see. The winner of that fight (which I can't wait for) is certainly going to tell us a lot. Or maybe it'll be epic, and they will both stay.

    Either way, good collection of young fighters on the way. I'd like to see more of Tony Yoka in the next year and a half. Ideally, he needs to make a big move, now that Joyce and Dubois are fighting each other.

    This is a really good list and I think with most of it

    I would still likely have fat Andy ahead of Parker. Parker lacks big fight mentality, fat Andy at least struck gold once.

    My rationale for putting Andy Ruiz there is based on my judgment that he never gets remotely in shape ever again. I think the money has gone to his head, and he cannot discipline himself. He is notoriously lazy in training and with his diet in any case. I dont ever think he gets in shape again, even in the shape he was for Dimitrenko or AJ 1. Hence, Andy isnt top 10 for me

    I agree that prime for prime, Ruiz showed more grit and killer instinct than Parker did.

    I wouldn’t go by rankings over logic because then most guys are misplaced.

    AJ
    Fury
    Hrgovic
    Usyk
    Wilder
    Whyte
    Povetkin
    Joyce
    Pulev
    Ruiz

    I’m surprised that Hrgovic ( 10 fights ), Yoka ( 7 ), Joyce ( 10 ), Dubois ( 14 ) are so popular and make top tens.
    Top 25 maybe.
    It’s all about opinions though & l respect that.

    Wilder
    Whyte
    Ruiz
    Parker
    Helenius
    Chisora
    Martin
    Usyk

    Joyce, Dubois and Hrgovic all knocking on the door but not quite there. And before anyone starts squawking about it, Usyk has the rating.
