Who are the Top 10 heavyweights, based on merit, in your opinion?

    Here's my list

    1. Wlad (self-explanatory)
    2. Vitali (see above)
    3. Povetkin (he hasn't fought much lately but he's undefeated and has several notable scalps)
    4. Adamek (he's on a roll and has beaten good opposition. #4 also due to accomplishments as a cruiser and light heavy).
    5. Chageav (not the greatest resume, but his only loss is to Wlad).
    6. Haye (former cruiserweight champion and a belt holder...needs more testing at heavyweight to be ranked higher).
    7. Chambers (lots of major wins, only 2 losses, could be right back in the mix with a big win).
    8. Thompson (not the greatest resume but his only loss in recent years is to Wlad)
    9. Peter (former champ with lots of good wins on the resume, IBF #2, but needs to prove himself again).
    10. Valuev (used to be #3, but hasn't looked good in recent fights).

Solis, Botsoyov, Ustinov, Heleneius etc are all potential Top 10 guys but don't have the resume to be ranked above the 10 above.

I believe the Klitschkos are the greatest heavyweights of all time, but my current top 10 is the way it is because Klitschkos focus only on fighting regional, American-level heavyweights.

The other fighteres I mentioned are fighting more rigorous competition in the Euro-level circuit in Eastern Europe therefore their records, although containing opponents with less numerically impressive records, are of higher quality.

Based on MERIT not one of the current crop of heavyweights boxers should be considered in the top ten . . . because they all suck! Except for the ATG SNV . . . outside of him the best heavyweight on the planet is in MMA . . . Fedor!
